🧈 A Little Taste of History! 🧈
To end the week, Miss Johnson's class took a step back in time. They learned how butter was made the old-fashioned way during science! The little scientists shook, mixed, and watched cream transform into butter. Bonus! They got to taste their homemade butter!

To celebrate Deaf Awareness Month, Miss Johnson's 4th grade class had a VERY special guest, Sophia Yeazle, join them for a wonderful visit! Sophia signed a book while Miss Johnson read it aloud, and everyone absolutely loved the experience. 💙
The whole class learned so much about Deaf culture and communication, and they even had fun learning a few new signs that they can use in our everyday lives! What a special and meaningful experience for everyone! 🤟

🌪️ Elementary Teacher Assignments are officially live in Skyward!
Log in to your Skyward Family Access account to see who your child’s teacher will be for the upcoming school year. You should click on Student Info on the left bar, and the teacher listed as advisor will be your child's teacher this year.
⚠️ Important Note: You will not be able to view your child's teacher assignment until online registration is fully completed. If you haven't finished registration yet, be sure to complete that step first!
3rd Grade Families: If your child has been placed in Miss Basil's class, you will be notified of your new teacher's name just as soon as we have completed all the necessary steps. We would like to thank Miss Kayla Basil for her years of dedicated service to the district and wish her the best of luck on her next endeavor.

Brainiacs in Ms. Donovan’s 4th grade class at Memorial have a challenge for School Resource Officer Dees!
They are planning a Blooket challenge on social studies review topics, and the students are feeling pretty confident. In fact, some of them think Officer Dees might be a little too intimidated to accept the challenge.
Officer Dees, what do you say?
And don’t worry, our students are ready. When it comes to social studies, we are studying every bit of information and not leaving any crumbs behind.

Mrs. Salazar's 4th grade class concludes their animal adaptations unit with owl pellet dissections.

Mrs. Salazar's fourth graders had a blast exploring block coding with Finch robots, on loan from the ROE. Students worked in teams to program the robots to follow paths, change colors, and make sounds. The project was a hit, building both teamwork skills and a passion for technology.
